Dr. Sania Nishtar, the CEO of the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI), arrived in Ghana today to start a working visit that will run from May 3rd to May 7th, 2025.
The CEO was formally welcomed by the Ministry of Health upon his arrival, which signaled the beginning of an important interaction meant to strengthen Ghana’s close ties with Gavi.
The visit offers a chance to review ongoing cooperation, restate shared commitments, and showcase Ghana’s advancements in local vaccine production and health system strengthening.
Over the next few days, further engagements and activities are anticipated.
