Helios Towers and the Ghanaian government have reiterated their dedication to bolstering the nation’s telecommunications industry.
The Group CEO, Tom Greenwood, and his staff paid Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, a courtesy call.
According to Tom Greenwood, Helios Towers intends to support Ghana’s digital transformation strategy by expanding its neutral tower hosting and offering ICT training to more than 2,000 students.
He pointed out that after 15 years of operation in Ghana, the company is still dedicated to investing for the next 15 years, indicating a long-term collaboration with the government to support equitable digital growth.
The Minister emphasized that new, reasonably priced goods and services, expanding smartphone penetration, and greater demand for data services have all contributed to Ghana’s telecom industry’s strong growth.
With an emphasis on increasing network coverage and enhancing digital infrastructure, he anticipates that the industry will continue to develop.
By encouraging investment, infrastructural growth, and ICT training, this collaboration between the government and Helios Towers seeks to advance digital development in Ghana, which should improve the nation’s digital environment.
