Janet Asana Nabla, the national chairman of the People’s National Party (PNP), has been officially confirmed as the party’s flagbearer for the elections scheduled for December 7.

On Sunday, September 1, the National Executive Committee (NEC) met and made the decision.

The choice also confirmed Dr. Edmund Ayesu as Madam Asana Nabla’s running mate.

According to a statement released on Monday, September 2, “This pivotal decision marks a significant step forward in the PNP’s journey to provide Ghana with a leadership team committed to transformative change,”

Madam Asana Nabla has extensive experience in political leadership, health administration, and public service.

She is credited as bringing a steadfast dedication to the principles of social justice, economic autonomy, and gender equality.

She led the People’s National Convention (PNC) and was the first female general secretary of a political party in Ghana.

A reputable scholar who works as a Senior Research Fellow at the Kumasi Technical University’s Center for Social Science Research is her running companion.

His background in civil society advocacy, policy design, and applied econometric modeling is supposed to complement the PNP’s vision of a wealthy and just Ghana.
