The Chief Executive of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Dr. Da-Costa Aboagye, together with senior executives from the Authority, joined dignitaries at a grand durbar to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin’s ascension to the Ofori Panin Stool.
The event took place on Saturday, October 12, 2024, in Kyebi and saw participation from prominent opinion leaders across the country, including His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.


The durbar culminated a series of events honouring the Okyenhene’s two and a half decades of leadership. The ceremony showcased rich Ghanaian culture and tradition, with chiefs, government officials, and citizens gathering to pay tribute to Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin for his remarkable contributions to environmental conservation, education, and community development.
In his address, President Akufo-Addo commended the Okyenhene for his lifelong dedication to public service and encouraged him to remain steadfast in his efforts despite any challenges. The President acknowledged the Okyenhene’s vital role in advancing the well-being of his people and contributing to the broader development of the nation.

Dr. Da-Costa Aboagye and the NHIA delegation presented a token of appreciation to the Okyenhene and congratulated him on his silver jubilee since his ascension to the Ofori Panin Stool.. The NHIA’s involvement in the event reflects its ongoing commitment to collaborating with traditional leaders to promote healthcare and improve access to healthcare in communities across Ghana.
The event was a vibrant celebration, bringing together notable personalities to honour Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin’s enduring legacy.
