National Cyber Security Awareness Month 2025 began with a ceremony at Burma Camp, where President John Dramani Mahama officially launched the 18-member Joint National Cyber Security Committee (JCC).
President Mahama, speaking on the topic of “Building a Safe, Informed and Accountable Digital Space”, stated that the group, which is made up of representatives from several security and intelligence organisations, will make sure that Ghana’s national defence architecture is cohesive, coordinated, and proactive.

“Cybersecurity must not be fragmented. It demands unity of purpose, a clear strategy, and disciplined education. Cybercrime ignores borders,” the President said, emphasising the importance of global cooperation.
President Mahama has advocated for ongoing public education to demystify cybersecurity and create a more knowledgeable and resilient digital citizenry through community training, school curricula, and awareness campaigns.
Come along with us during Cybersecurity Awareness Month as we collaborate to create a more secure online environment for everybody.
