Sammy Awuku, the National Lottery Authority’s (NLA) director general, has announced his departure, which will take effect on January 13, 2025.
Sammy Awuku gave his election as the Member of Parliament for Akuapem North as justification for his decision in a letter to President John Mahama.
Awuku has been with the NLA since August 2021, and his resignation signifies the end of his employment there.
Sammy Awuku emphasized in his letter of resignation his dedication to serve his constituents and giving his full attention to his parliamentary responsibilities.
In order to guarantee a seamless transition and appropriate transfer of duties, he also used the occasion to ask that a replacement for his role at the NLA be appointed as soon as possible.
