The Ghana Police Service received 60 pickup trucks and 20 motorcycles from Hon. Muntaka Mubarak-Mohammed, Minister of the Interior, as part of an effort to retool the security forces and improve their capacity to support the nation’s round-the-clock economy.
In order to protect workers in the 24-hour economy, Hon. Muntaka announced the establishment of a specialized unit inside the Ghana Police Service.
The vehicles, which were put together locally by Zonda Tec, will allow the police to protect employees around the clock.

The Minister revealed that the ministry is trying to digitize work permits and quotas in order to streamline procedures and facilitate business operations during the tour of Zonda Tec Assembly sites.
He took advantage of the occasion to exhort Ghanaian businesses to follow the law and to encourage them to grow.
The public was reassured by Hon. Muntaka that the ministry will keep working to maintain national security.
Madam Yang Yang, the CEO of Zonda Tec, highlighted the opportunity to enhance the Ghana Police Service’s operations while expressing delight in the vehicles’ local assembly.
The government’s dedication to providing a safe and secure environment for businesses to flourish is demonstrated by this program.
