Richard Nii Armah Quaye, a business tycoon from Ghana, has strengthened food security efforts in the Central and Northern Regions by opening three new food banks.

On Monday, November 17, 2025, the Cape Coast branch opened, and on Wednesday, there were two more launches in Tamale.

The extension, which is being carried out through the RNAQ Foundation, is a component of the organization’s larger goal to increase vulnerable populations’ access to food in important regional capitals.

In the Central Region, where traditional leadership was crucial, the inauguration activities got underway. Osabarima Kwesi Atta II, the Omanhen of the Oguaa Traditional Council, had a courtesy call from Quaye, President of RNAQ Holdings, at his palace in Cape Coast.

The engagement aimed to secure support for the new food bank concept from the conventional authority.

Following the visit to the palace, the party formally established the food bank in Kotokoraba with the help of Oguaa Traditional Council sub-chiefs.

Residents praised the program and said it was appropriate considering the community’s increasing need for food assistance.

In the Northern Region, a similar process took place.

When Quaye and his group went to the Dakpema Palace in Tamale, Nyaba Dakpema Wulana, the second-in-command, and Alhassan Basharu Daballi, the palace secretary, welcomed them.

On behalf of Nyaba Dakpema Fuseini Bawah, the Chief of Tamale, the RNAQ Foundation gave the sub-chiefs customary colanuts and cash.

Daballi told the group that the palace would support RNAQ Holdings’ operations in the area and expressed the chief’s gratitude to Quaye.

The appearance of Northern musician Fancy Gadam at the launch also attracted public notice.

Three additional food banks were established as the week’s events came to an end: two in Tamale in Kukuo and the Agric Traffic Light area, and one at Kotokoraba in Cape Coast.
