Unidentified gunmen shot and killed a police officer from the Ashanti Regional Police Headquarters at the Bobiri Forest Reserve at Kubease, close to Ejisu.
Officers from the Ejisu District Police headquarters under the direction of DSP Mr. Patrick Okai Kodjoe, the District Commander with assistance from ASP Mrs. Hannah Amoafo, and the District Crime Officer from the Ashanti Regional Crime Scene Management Team under the direction of DSP Mr. Francis Nimoh recognized Sergeant Amoah Moses.
It came about as a result of a complaint made by Caleb Adu Agyemang, the Assemblyman for the Kubease Electoral Area, stating that on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, a guy who was thought to be in his 30s was discovered dead at the Forest Reserve.
According to his statement, the deceased had a gunshot wound below the knee on his right leg and was laying unconscious in a pool of blood while wearing a green long sleeve shirt over khaki pants and a black boot.
Beside him were a machete and a single-barrel pistol. Upon arriving at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, a medical officer declared him deceased. Since then, the body has been placed in the morgue of the same hospital in order to be preserved and examined.
According to police investigations, attempts are being made to solve the mystery surrounding the young policeman’s death.
