GNFS responded to a significant road traffic collision on the Accra-Kumasi Highway yesterday, Sunday, January 25, 2026, near Breku Forest and the Pra River.
A Howo Sinotruk (AS-4114-24) truck filled with cement overturned, trapping three (3) people.
A combined rescue crew from Konongo-Odumase and Juaso, lead by SubO Siaw Richardson, came quickly and successfully extricated two (2) injured patients, who were transported to Juaso Government Hospital using an Ambulance Service vehicle (GV-589-20).
One dead person was recovered and given to the police.
The head of the Howo truck was severely damaged.
The accident’s cause is being investigated.
The operation demonstrates the GNFS personnel’s professionalism, courage, and quick thinking in saving lives.
