Dr. Clement Apaak, the deputy minister of education, has said that recently sworn Peace Corps volunteers will assist basic education and deaf schools.

Dr. Apaak stated during the swearing-in that the most recent cohort brings vital talents to improve teaching and learning, especially in underprivileged communities.

He said, “We are especially happy to see that many of you bring specialised skills in STEM education along with the crucial ability to integrate foundational literacy into your teaching.”

He emphasised that a larger national aim is reflected in the choice to allocate some volunteers to special schools.
