The government’s commitment to advancing transnational education through strategic international alliances has been reaffirmed by Minister of Education Haruna Iddrisu.
He made this known when a group from Hainan University in China, led by Vice President Dr. Gao, paid him a courtesy call to discuss possibilities for cooperation in Ghana’s higher education sector, namely in the fields of information technology, engineering, and agriculture.

The Minister praised the university for starting conversations about cooperation and applauded China’s advancements in education, particularly in information technology.
He stated that the government, led by His Excellency President John Mahama, is pursuing policies to promote transnational education in order to improve access and quality in postsecondary institutions, emphasising the critical need for international collaborations to support this development.
