Dr. Osei Bonsu Dickson’s appointment as the deputy national security coordinator has been formally withdrawn by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The Chief of Staff, Hon. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, announced the decision in a letter dated January 2, 2024, citing the necessity for additional deliberation and upcoming changes within the National Security Establishment as the main reasons for the withdrawal.
In the first letter, dated OPS101/1/24/04, Dr. Osei Bonsu Dickson was designated as acting Deputy National Security Coordinator while the National Security Council, in cooperation with the Public Services Commission, provided the constitutionally mandated advice.
