The Minister of the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, was invited to Trenton, New York, USA, by Mayor W. Reed Gusciora last week for a tour of the Trenton Fire Department.

In cooperation with other localities, the City of Trenton intends to give firefighter equipment to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) and offer training assistance to GNFS staff, emphasizing best practices in emergency response and firefighting.

It is anticipated that the training will increase the GNFS’s skills and emergency response.

The alliance between Trenton and Ghana is the start of a significant working relationship that will promote mutual assistance, information sharing, and a dedication to public service.

Ghana’s Permanent Mission in New York officials were with Hon. Muntaka.
