Press Release to all Media Houses – Interior Ministry
All mining machinery must be registered with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) by August 1, 2025, as part of the government’s efforts to regulate the nation’s mining industry.
If the equipment is not registered by this date, the State will seize it.
From August 2, 2025, onward, the Ghana Police Service and DVLA are to strictly follow this regulation.
The directive should be heeded and followed by the general public, particularly those who operate mining equipment.
Maintaining national law and order and internal security are priorities for the Ministry of the Interior.
