The Accra Tourist Information Center is destroyed by fire.

At precisely 0102 hours, the Accra Tourism and Information Center reported a fire outbreak.

At 0104 hours, the first fire engine from GNFS National Headquarters arrived on the scene.

To assist with the firefighting efforts, five more fire appliances were quickly summoned from the Ministries Fire Stations, Flagstaff House, Circle, Accra City, and the Rapid Intervention Vehicle (RIV) from headquarters.

Even though the fierce fire was contained at 0332 hours, intense firefighting is still being done to put out the entire fire and stop it from spreading to nearby properties.

Thankfully, there have been no reported injuries.
